The Last One Laughing

Theo, a comedian, joins a twisted underground comedy survival game to raise money for his sister Lily's surgery. The audience feeds on human suffering; contestants survive only by baring their deepest traumas, while breaking down too fast or pandering means death. The mastermind forces Theo to relive his childhood domestic abuse and threatens Lily's life to make him reveal all his humiliation. As fellow competitors betray one another and get eliminated, Theo finally gives in to the painful performance and saves Lily with the prize money. He later learns the entire trial was a mental illusion, freeing himself from the habit of hiding behind humor.
