In a near-future Western superhero dystopia, the Hero Association divides the city into six rigid tiers from S to F. His childhood sweetheart publicly returns his late mother's memento and takes the hand of a rising S-rank star.To pay off the medical debt left by his mother's on-duty death, Kane joins a grey-zone cleanup crew, scraping by clearing the aftermath of superpowered battles.
